When you sit down at Ruth's, you'll always be provided "lagnappe", or "a little something extra" just for being their customer. They wanted their site to convey this as well, so their users would get the same high-touch experience online as they did at the table.

Elegant photography and richer colors helped convey the wood, leather and linen textures found inside the dining room, while bold typography and whimsical storytelling brought out the personality of Ruth herself.

We completely revamped the reservation flow to focus not only on speed but also on the human side of dining, asking customers to request whatever they'd like to make the experience unique and memorable.

A Layered UX Approach
We began with a simplified navigation that served both customers, franchisees and corporate employees. On top of that we layered on rich content to bring the menu and history to life. Finally we added the lagnappe: surprise and delight to emphasize Ruth's personality.

The site was designed to not only look great on any screen size, but also maintain easy usability for its most important functions - even on mobile - including quick access to reservations, the menu, and private event booking.
